Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 1, 2026: Audio Journaling (Arc Synergy)

This Privacy Policy explains what Audio Journaling ("the App," "we," "us") collects, why, and how you can control it. This policy covers the App specifically; our other products have their own policies, linked from their own pages.

In short: we never sell your data. Your journal entries, audio recordings, and mood logs are for your eyes and ears only. They are tied to your account, protected by database-level access rules, and deletable by you at any time from inside the App.

Information We Collect

When you create an account:

Email address, and a display name you choose
If you sign in with Apple or Google, the identity token those services provide are shared AND we never see or store your Apple/Google password

Usage in the App:

Journal entries you write or record, including audio recordings and any text you type are private to you
The mood(s) you select with each entry are private to you
Your check-in streak and garden progress are private to you
A PIN, if you choose to set one: stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text, and never visible to us
Reminder preferences you set (days, time, frequency) are private to you
Messages you send through Help & Support, including optional audio messages are shared with the support team
Whether you opted in to our occasional wellness newsletter is your choice to make

We do not collect location data, contacts, or browsing activity outside the App.

How We Use Your Information

Your journal content (text, audio, mood, dates) is used only to operate the App for you: saving and syncing your entries across your devices, growing your garden, showing your calendar history, and scheduling reminders you've requested. We do not read your journal entries for any purpose other than operating features you've explicitly used, such as responding to a support request you've sent us.

If you contact Help & Support, your message (and any audio you choose to include) is sent to our support inbox so we can respond to you directly.

If you've opted in to the newsletter, we use your email to send occasional wellness content. This is not personalized based on your journal entries, and you can opt out at any time in Settings.

Where Your Data Is Stored

We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, and audio file storage. Audio recordings are stored in a private storage location that only your account can access; journal entries are protected by database access rules that restrict every row to your own account, enforced at the database level, not just in the App's code.

A copy of your recent entries is also cached locally on your device so the App works offline. This local copy is cleared when you sign out or delete your account.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of service providers to operate the App, each limited to the data they need to do their job:

Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
Apple and Google — only if you choose to sign in with them
Resend — delivering the one-way email when you submit a Help & Support request

None of these providers are permitted to use your journal content for their own purposes. We do not use advertising networks or analytics services that track you across other apps or websites.

Your Choices and Rights

Access: your entries, mood history, and garden progress are visible to you at any time inside the App.
Correction: you can edit your display name and email from Settings → Profile.
Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data — entries, audio, mood history, garden progress — directly from Settings → Profile → Delete Account. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Newsletter: opt in or out anytime from Settings → Weekly Recap.

Children's Privacy

Audio Journaling is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, database-level access rules scoped to your account, and an optional PIN lock with a 24-hour lockout after repeated failed attempts. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the App.
